The stated mission of the Notre Dame Alumni Association is "to advance
the interests of the alumni and their University through a commitment to
excellence in a lifelong relationship." Local clubs play an integral role in
fostering and encouraging this lifelong relationship. To this end, clubs are
encouraged to present a balanced variety of events and programs each
year from the six core areas of Camaraderie, Catholic/Christian Spirituality, Communication, Community Service, Continuing Education,
and Current Student Support.
COMMUNICATION
Effective communications are crucial for the successful implementation of programs and events at the club level. Communications for clubs include newsletters, websites, and e-mail newsletters, just to name a few.
The Notre Dame Club of Chicago uses broadcast email through ND's Irish Online system. There are over 9,000 people on our email list. We send an email newsletter every week to inform our constiuents of current Club events and activities. Anyone is welcome to join the email list. To update your information please login to Irish Online and make sure that your preferred email address is the one you want used for the weekly Club email. Also please make sure that Chicago is listed as your preferred Club. Then your information will be updated and you will automatically be on the list and will get the Club emails.
