The stated mission of the Notre Dame Alumni Association is "to advance
the interests of the alumni and their University through a commitment to
excellence in a lifelong relationship." Local clubs play an integral role in
fostering and encouraging this lifelong relationship. To this end, clubs are
encouraged to present a balanced variety of events and programs each
year from the six core areas of Camaraderie, Catholic/Christian Spirituality, Communication, Community Service, Continuing Education,
and Current Student Support.
CAMARADERIE
Celebrating Notre Dame connections is one of the hallmarks of Notre Dame clubs worldwide. Accordingly, a Universal Notre Dame Celebration is one of the most important events of a club’s year. Other events that promote the social and sporting aspects of Notre Dame include game watch parties, golf outings, young alumni events, and monthly luncheons.
The Notre Dame Club of Chicago sponsors events in all of these areas.
Game Watches
The Club Sponsors game watches for all the football games at:
Victory Liquors Citizen Bar
Golf Outing
The ND Club of Chicago has a Golf Outing every year at Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook, IL. This event is very popular and sells out every year.
Young Alumni
The Young Alumni or YA group is very active. They plan an awesome Boat Cruise along the river and lake in the summer and a wine tasting in the winter.
We are always looking to expand our events so if you have new ideas or if you would like to plan an event please email Michele Cahill, '07 at ndclubadmin@earthlink.net
